Wiz Code Week Recap: Securing AI Native Development

Why it matters

Wiz describes controls for agent-assisted software delivery: inventory models, frameworks, IDE extensions, infrastructure-as-code, and third-party CI actions; map code to deployed resources; run pre-commit checks for secrets and unsafe AI patterns; and expose excessive pipeline permissions and prompt-injection paths.

My takeaway: Build one inventory that connects AI tooling, repositories, pipelines, infrastructure, deployed resources, and data access. Treat coding agents and CI jobs as privileged principals: minimize permissions, pin third-party actions, test prompt-injection paths, block secrets and unsafe changes before commit, and return runtime context to developers without letting remediation agents approve their own fixes.
