Why it matters
SecurityWeek interviews Clint Bodungen about gaps between governance policy and security practice, the MindStone open-source agent’s persistent memory and identity, and a ransomware response in which autonomous agents assisted analysis, recovery, and infrastructure migration.
My takeaway: Persistent identity and memory make agents long-lived operational actors. Before using them in incident response, define ownership, privilege boundaries, approval points, durable audit logs, recovery procedures, and independent verification of agent conclusions.
