Why it matters

Cloudflare announced Account Wallets and agent-specific Virtual Wallets for stablecoin and x402 payments, with human-readable identities, allowlists, allowances, transaction caps, anomaly review, and human override workflows.

My takeaway: Agent payments turn budget into an authorization boundary. Give each agent a distinct identity, cap both per-transaction and total exposure, restrict where it can spend, and require a human decision for exceptions while retaining payment provenance as audit evidence.
